Confident in Liaising with the Media

Bell’s turtles are in crisis, with around 90-100% of their nests currently being predated. So, our Zoology students headed to Dumaresq Dam near Armidale to survey the population and learn what conservation looks like in the field. 🐢
While there, they found three other species of turtle, including the eastern long-necked turtle, the Murray River turtle, and most surprisingly, a huge broad-shelled turtle.
In this video, we chat to Bachelor of Zoology students, Summer Farrelly, Morgan Brown and Joel Drew chat about this unique experience.
